Griff Fights Lymphoma Julia Fights Brain Cancer

UPDATE 6/25/24: Griff was admitted to the hospital yesterday as he spiked a fever of 104.5 along with some other worrisome symptoms. They have run a series of tests and we found out he had a gall stone dislodged and block his bile duct. They are going to attempt to remove in via endoscopy. God was looking out for him because if this happened after chemo started (tomorrow) things could have gone much differently. In addition we have some other sad news. His wife Julia who beat the odds of brain cancer back in 2018 unfortunately has been diagnosed with 2 more tumors on the other side of her brain. They are moving forward with biopsies to determine her chemo and radiation plan. This GoFunMe is also going to be used to help her through all of this as well. UPDATE 6/19/24: I am brought to tears by the generosity the community has shown in less than a week. Griff is still home with appts just about daily. His official diagnosis is Agressive Mantle Cell Lymphoma which is a form Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. He is headed to Dana Farber next week to get a second opinion on his treatment before they begin. We are hoping a balance of holistic and traditional medicine will be the right fit for him although they are already in discussions of a possible bone marrow transplant. UPDATE 6/16/24: Griff is out of the hospital and is able to control the pain from home for the time being. He has an appt tomorrow with his oncologist where we will find out the details of the lymphoma and treatment plan. We’ve already talked to a lot of people about his situation and in that process have learned a lot about holistic approaches that can help work alongside the chemo. They are not yet FDA approved therefore insurance won’t cover it. We plan to use money donated to pay for those as from what we’re told they get expensive quickly. Please keep praying.

This past week Richard (aka Griff) Griffith was diagnosed with Lymphoma. He’s in great hands at the hospital where they have done several tests, procedures, and soon to be chemotherapy. I’ve created this page in efforts to help raise funds to help him and his wife Julia during this challenging time (e.g. medical bills, groceries, meals, etc). I’m hoping this will help bridge the gap between now and when he’s back on his feet because if you know Griff, you know he’s going to put up one hell of a fight against cancer. We also ask that you keep him in your thoughts and prayers, the power of prayer is incredible.
