It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved grandfather, Juan Antonio Gonzalez, who left us on June 22, 2024, at the remarkable age of 100. Born on March 30, 1924, in El Salvador, Juan lived a century filled with love, joy, and resilience.

In 1970, Juan made the courageous journey from El Salvador to San Francisco, seeking a brighter future for his family. His hard work and determination created a life of opportunity and happiness for his loved ones. Juan was a familiar and cherished presence in the Mission District, where he loved to walk and engage with the vibrant community. A lifelong fan of the San Francisco Giants, he never missed a game and cheered for his team with unwavering passion.

Juan leaves behind his devoted wife of 50 years, three loving children, and four adored great-grandchildren. His wife was his steadfast partner, sharing the joys and challenges of life together. Known for his great, happy personality, Juan brought light and laughter to everyone who knew him. His legacy of love, strength, and joy continues through his family, who were the heart of his world.

We have created this GoFundMe campaign to celebrate Juan’s incredible life and to support our family during this difficult time. The funds raised will help cover funeral and memorial expenses, providing a fitting tribute to a man who gave so much. Any extra proceeds will go directly to Juan’s widow, ensuring she has the support she needs during this challenging period.

Juan Antonio Gonzalez’s 100 years on this earth were marked by love, joy, and an indomitable spirit. His journey from El Salvador to San Francisco, his commitment to his family, his passion for the Giants, and his warm, joyful nature are just a few of the many reasons he will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Thank you for your generosity, support, and for helping us honor the memory of an extraordinary husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Your contributions mean the world to us and help keep Juan’s legacy alive.

With heartfelt gratitude,

The Gonzalez Family
