Support Kayden's Recovery and Future

On Friday night, my husband and I were sharing a bowl of cherries while listening to Luke Combs' new album, watching our son dance, when our family dog attacked our 1-year-old. We both acted fast, and the details during these moments we do not wish to relive or share. This was the most traumatic, scariest moment of our lives. Paramedics took action upon arriving and took Kayden to Kadlec Hospital, where he and I were life-flighted to Sacred Heart in Spokane. We spent 2 nights there with our baby. He went into surgery with a plastic surgeon and ophthalmologists.
Kayden has a broken nose, torn ligament in his eye, and was torn inside the bottom of his chin just about into his mouth. They were able to reattach his ligament and sew his muscles back. He has many stitches inside and outside of his face. He has been a trooper. We have gotten pain management under control and know that the next few weeks are going to be very rough. He has to see his plastic surgeon and eye surgeon again in the next week. We are so thankful he is alive. My husband and I are both traumatized. Our dog has been euthanized. We are just completely lost and trying to understand why this happened. We don't have answers.
We are asking for help with anything medical that may be coming our way and anything we need to do for Kayden's future. We are still in the very early stages of healing and don't know what the rest holds. Our son is our EVERYTHING. We don't ask for help and it has been tearful writing this and putting my pride aside to even ask. But this is for Kayden and we want the very best for him. If you can help, we would appreciate it more than you will ever know. If you can't, that's okay too. Please say a prayer for our little boy. We will keep everyone updated on his journey.
