LEO UPDATE 6/4 6:30pm

The dr called and she feels Leo can come home, with extremely close supervision. Since he only stayed 1 day in the ICU, my bill was modified. My balance owed is $2700. I know in my heart, it was all the prayers given that healed our kitty so quickly! I am so thankful to each and everyone of you. Thank you for your continued support!

LEO UPDATE! 6/4

The dr called me a little while ago and let me know his urine is running clear in the catheter! She is so impressed with how he is doing today. She wants to remove the catheter sometime in the next few hours and see how he does urinating on his own. I will update everyone again soon! I am so thankful for all the prayers, shares and support.

Update on Leo! 6-3
He survived his surgery but will have a long, 3 day stay in the ICU still, with a long journey ahead of him with recovery and preventative maintenance. Thank you to everyone has donated to us, or shared our story. We cannot begin to thank you enough. We are so grateful.

Hi, my name is Christyn. Four years ago, I rescued a mommy cat who was living outside. She was carrying kittens when I brought her in. A few months after I brought her in, she had beautiful babies. One of them didn’t make it, but the other two did and I have since kept the entire family. We named the babies, Leo and Oliver. Two years ago, her son Leo, was diagnosed with feline idiopathic cystitis. He has been on a strict urinary food since, and everything had been fine, till yesterday when he was not acting himself. Leo was sitting on the floor crying, something he has never done. I rushed him to the emergency vet, where they determined he had a UTI, and sent him home with an antibiotic, muscle relaxant and a pain management pill. I was hopeful. Terrified, but hopeful. I gave him a kiss goodnight at 2am, and tried to rest. At 7:30am this morning, I checked on him and found vomit on the floor and no urine in the box. I rushed him back to the ER where they did X-Rays and determined he is fully blocked, and needs emergency surgery to unblock him. I am not one to ask for help, but if you have anything to spare, I would be sincerely grateful. I was given an estimate for $4000 dollars for the surgery and 3 days of hospitalization. This cat is my daughters best friend. He sleeps with her every night, cuddled right beside her. They do everything together, side by side. I will do everything in my power to ensure when we left the emergency room this morning, that this wasn’t her last goodbye. I appreciate you reading our story. Thank you for your time.
