Support Luna's Journey Back to Stability

Hi! My name is Luna and I am a black queer artist in need of assistance! If happen to know me, you'd know that is very rare that I ask for assistance. Instead, I do everything I can to give back to the people I care about and the community around me. However, I have exhausted all my options, and desperately need assistance.

On May 16, I was wrongfully terminated from my job, 5 days before the beginning of a full-time position/promotion. At the time, the manager was aware that I had quit my second job (that I had been working for over a year, at the same time as this one), and left me with no source of income. I used my savings at the end of May to pay for all of my bills before their due dates in June, in hopes that I would find employment by then, but I have not been so lucky. I have applied for 60+ jobs since, did my best to improve my resume, and began taking free online courses to gain certificates to raise my chances of finding employment. The job market has not been so kind and I have not heard back from any of these jobs.

Losing this job not only meant losing income, but health insurance which is crucial because I am chronically ill. I will run out of my daily medication by the end of this month and I am not sure when I will have the chance to get a refill and be able to afford it.

The amount listed should allow me to pay all of my bills for the rest of June and a little for July. I have one job interview this coming week (thanks to a friend), but there is no guarantee that I will get the job. This amount will cover expenses as well as allow me to have a little extra in case of emergencies, such as getting sick and being able to afford medication, and of course, food.

I appreciate you taking the time to read, share, and donate. I truly appreciate it beyond words and I hope to be able to pay it forward once I am back on my feet.

(Additionally, if you are in NYC, preferably Manhattan or Brooklyn, and work somewhere that might have job openings, I have 8+ years of customer service experience, as well as 5+ retail managerial experience, spanning over numerous industries such as food, clothing, and beauty (fragrance mostly!).
