Support Lutalo Henderson's Family in Tragedy

My name is Aziza Henderson, the eldest sister of Lutalo Henderson. On August 5, 2024, a day after his birthday, my brother’s body was tragically found burned in a shopping cart under a bridge in Yonkers, New York. The crime committed against him was brutal and horrific, something no person should ever have to endure.
Lutalo was an amazing person, a devoted father, brother, son, uncle and friend. He had a love for reading and animals. He loved to cook and listen to jazz and R&B music. He loved meeting new people, he loved to entertain, and he loved spending time with his family on the holidays.
Lutalo was always eager to help others, and even if someone declined his help, he would insist on lending a hand. The person who took his life was his roommate—someone who had nowhere else to go, and my brother generously gave him a place to stay, charging him only a minimal amount. That’s the kind of person Lutalo was—selfless and giving.
He was a man of his word and loved his daughter deeply. She’s about to turn 17 and will soon graduate from high school and head to college. Her dad, my brother Lutalo, never missed a graduation or a birthday. This year will be the first of many he will miss.
Unfortunately, Lutalo did not have life insurance, and our family was not prepared for this tragedy. His beautiful daughter, who deserves a second chance, needs all the support she can get during this difficult time. The donations we receive will help cover various expenses, including funeral costs, and contribute to her education.
