Hello, my name is Sandra Alexandre. I am Magalie “Maggie” Alexandre’s older sister. I have never created a GoFundMe before, but it is a necessity at this point.

My sister left work on September 12th early in the morning with a coworker. The coworker was driving, as Maggie sat in the passenger seat. They pulled over at the Orion Gas Station located at 3990 W Hallandale Beach Blvd, Pembroke Park. As my sister began making her way to the store, a Sonic Grey newer model 4-door, possibly 2020-2024 Honda Civic or BMW, entered the gas station on the west side and, as soon as my sister got into full view, hit the gas pedal and struck my sister at full speed.

My sister was on a ventilator and by the grace of God, she was taken off of it late last night. She has two broken legs and a broken femur. Her right leg has external rods, which she will need an additional surgery for a more permanent solution. She will be in the hospital for several weeks to months. Her left knee was badly broken, which she had surgery to fix. She has some injuries and bruises to her face and other parts of her body, but all in all, she is surrounded by family and people who love and care for her.

We are raising funds to help her with current & future medical expenses, lost wages, her car note, insurance, and expenses that we are incurring as a result of this horrible incident. We are also handling her personal expenses she would have paid for while she was still working.

I would love nothing more than to share pictures of her current condition, but she declined. We are choosing to respect her privacy. She is still in shock and fears for her safety. So, instead, we are surrounding her with love, positivity, protection, and encouragement.

To the person(s) who did this to her: You chose the wrong family. We will catch you, and when we do, you won’t go to jail, but prison. Enjoy your last free days of freedom.
