Support Marlis as she battles stage 4 cancer

Hi, I've set up this GoFundMe Page for my dear friend Marlis who is battling stage 4 cancer, against all odds. 

6 weeks ago, after 18months of being misdiagnosed by the doctor she trusted, after seeking a second opinion, Marlis was diagnosed with bowel cancer. In a very cruel twist, within weeks of learning of her condition, Marlis was diagnosed with liver and stage 4 lung cancer as well. As we know, cancer does not discriminate - Marlis leads a healthy and active life and the diagnosis and prognosis is incredibly unexpected. The cancer cannot be cured and any treatment is to prolong her life. Marlis is a single mother of two young, beautiful children - they're yet to truly understand the gravity of their situation as their mother battles to be with them and provide for them as best as she can whilst keeping life as normal as possible.

 

Getting sick is expensive, Cancer is ruthless. It's taken so much already, including Marlis' ability to work to provide for her young children. For those who don't know Marlis, she is a brilliant and passionate designer who has worked tirelessly for over 30 years - it's soul destroying for her to know that she no longer has the ability to work as a designer but more so knowing it's unlikely she'll be able to work ever again.

 

Marlis is a wonderful and loving mum, she's a daughter, she's a sister, a friend to many and she needs help.
