We are deeply saddened to announce the tragic loss of Muneeb Jalali, a 20-year-old young man full of ambition and hope, who was the sole provider for his family. Muneeb was discovered deceased in Springfield, Virginia on Saturday after leaving his aunt's home that evening. The circumstances of his death are currently under investigation.

Muneeb came to the United States eight years ago, at the age of 12, seeking a safer and brighter future. This followed the assassination of his father in Afghanistan in 2013, which left behind his widow mother and two young children. His mother moved to the US with the dream of building a better life for her family.

Despite facing numerous challenges, Muneeb remained resilient. He worked full-time while continuing his education, striving for a brighter future. His untimely death has left his widow mother and 15-year-old sister, who is still a student, in deep grief and financial uncertainty. Muneeb’s mother now works part-time at a daycare, struggling to support her family.
