Support Nepalese Sherpa Guides and Porters

Like all of us around the world, my dear friends in Kathmandu; Sunita, Khirlal, and Pasang Dawa Sherpa have been hit hard from the COVID-19 pandemic .  They are such kind leaders in their community, and their mission driven company provides employment with living wages for their team in Nepal, with a focus on empowering woman.  I am raising money to support their community of Sherpas, Guides and Porters to provide for their families basic needs.

Nepal Everest Himalaya Hiking Company works together for woman empowerment providing employment opportunities to Nepal Female Trekking Guides. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Spring and Autumn Season in Nepal, cancelled all of Himalayan trekking tours and climbing groups. The bulk of our income comes from assisting visitors as we trek into the heart of the Himalayas. The wages and tips we receive help us feed our families, send our children to school, and pay for our basic needs. Without tourism, we have no income stream and are receiving little to no financial support during this time. Over the last 10 months, our team of guides and porters who regularly have been hired for Himalayan Trekking and Climbing , have not had any work and have not been able to earn for our normal living. We have run out of our saving and are struggling to provide for our families basic needs. We ask that you please support us by donating what you can today.
