Support PCX13's Journey to Stable Housing
Donation protected
Hello! This is 111010001101010! I just wanted to keep this call for help within the RES community but if it goes out into the overall Ingress community, that's fine also. :)
I just want to let you kind humans know that one of our own from SFV RES has moved out to the Denver, CO area but has run into some personal issues that prevent them from coming back to Los Angeles. They actually like it there in the Denver area and they're working very hard to stay housed especially now that finally spring has arrived. I hope you folks remember PCX13 or barcode (they/them) who used to play in the East San Fernando Valley.
Due to a bad breakup, they are currently living paycheck to paycheck to stay housed. I have been buying them groceries from the Walmart walking distance to them while they're staying in a weekly hotel. They're employed but they just got laid off from a second job a month ago, hence the call for help. I had to convince them to do this, BTW.
However, they have friends with a house in Colorado Springs that they can move into. This house is being renovated and will be ready for move-in at the end of May. The room they're being offered is 1/3 of the price monthly of the weekly hotel in Denver (1wk x 4). There is employment there for them because they can transfer. Moving into this house will definitely help them stabilize their housing situation. So while I make sure that they have food, because they've only been in Colorado for 2 months and ineligible for social services yet, it's the first and last month's rent that they need AND deposit. We're hoping to raise $1,500 through this GoFundMe to help them with
housing. They already have some savings but not enough to do first, last, and deposit. Adulting without social support is really hard. :(
So if you can help with any amount, that will be fantastic. Please spread the word also in the Denver RES community if they can help out with gigs in the area for them. They're willing to work as much as they can to make their housing goal. They have a chromebook with internet access so online gigs are good also. They're currently relying on public transportation though.
Thank you very much to everyone in the community!
