It is with a humble heart that this Go Fund Me account was created by our family for Ron and his wife Sandra, along with his children, Serene, Chelsea and Taylor, to assist with medical expenses, bills, and loss of wages. It will be adjusted if needed.
Ron’s Story
Ron was diagnosed with colon cancer stage 3 B in September 2017. He had a quadruple bypass in March 2018 and had to stop chemo due to the quadruple bypass surgery. He was able to go back to chemo in May 2018.
In August 2018, he was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer and they think because he had to stop chemo, is why it spread and was then adjusted to a more aggressive chemo. In December 2018 they switched his chemo once more because his cancer spread.
In August 2018, Ron started to go to cancer research facilities for more options (Stanford, UC San Francisco, UC San Diego, UC Davis). Stanford had no options for him. UC San Francisco put him on wait list for a trial. UC San Diego rejected him for a specialized operation because of the location of his cancer. UC Davis suggested switching his chemo routine which he’s on now.
Ron’s cancer is currently spreading. He had pneumonia, was septic and was hospitalized for the past 4 days. He was just released September 1, 2019. He has another CT scan next week to see where he’s at.
Through it all, Ron has continued to work to help support his family and pay the bills. He will be forced to stop working pretty soon.
How We Can Help
Having exhausted all of the options available, The Brandt Family is in need of financial assistance. The medical costs associated with his treatment are self funded. We need to raise as much money as we can to help ease this burden. We cannot do this without your help, which is why we are here to ask you to spread the word and donate whatever you can to help us save the life of a dear husband, father, son, uncle, brother, marine and friend.
I know Ron will not mean the same to you as he does to our family, but we are faced with the pain of losing the person we care so much for, so anything you can do to help, we will be eternally grateful for.
