Support Stebbins Teachers Rebuild After Fire

Just 25 hours ago, a terrible fire started in Stebbins, Alaska. The fire started in the maintenance building but quickly consumed 9 other buildings including the entire K-12 school, and many houses the teachers lived in. Stebbins, Alaska is a rural village in Alaska where the large majority of teachers move to from the lower 48 or other countries (primarily the Philippines). Eight of my co-workers, and the principal have lost everything. They lost their entire classroom, and their home. While the school district we work for is amazing, and there is no doubt they will assist the teachers in replacing everything in their classrooms. Many of us want to show solidarity and support to all the teachers and community of Stebbins by raising money to help replace what was lost.

The money raised will be split equally with the teachers and principal who lost their home. I will close this fundraiser on August 1st, and will send each of them an electronic transfer on cash app or PayPal with their portion of money raised.
