Help support Tamela Dahl

Tamela is a hard working RN who is 57 years old. She has worked for Mayo Clinic almost 36 years. She is a loving, caring, compassionate, dedicated nurse and mother! Our world changed when she suffered a ischemic stroke in the left PICA distribution with a left cerebella hypodensity on 3/30. From there her journey begun with multiple CT scans, MRIs and lots of prayers. The doctors placed an EVD into her brain to help with the draining of fluids. She was then taken to the OR for a craniectomy to make room for her brain to swell. Tamela was on a breathing ventilator for 3 days to give her brain a rest, a feeding tube to receive nutrients, lots of IVs for fluids, an array of medications, and many other tools and accessories to help her heal.

After staying in the ICU and general care, she will then be moved to rehab where she will retrain her brain to help her do everyday tasks again with the help of OT and PT.

We are very blessed to have such great doctors, nurses, and medical staff to help her during this difficult journey!
