Support the Hacketts: Recovering from Hurricane Helene

Who would have thought a Hurricane would have impacted Western North Carolina the way it did. Hello, my name is Jasmine Orr. I have started this GoFundMe for my family in Morganton, NC. The Hacketts were severely and tragically impacted by Hurricane Helene. As the water was rushing in towards the house, they had to flee the premises by foot, leaving behind their house, vehicles... everything. At the crest, we know the water made it to the second floor, completely submerging the first floor.

Tyler and Lisa Hackett are both teachers and coaches in Morganton. Tyler Hackett, my dad, works and coaches at Freedom High School. Lisa Hackett, my bonus mom, works and coaches at Walter Johnson. The money raised will go towards housing, clothes, medicine, and food. The time period that they will be away from home and able to go through what remains is unknown.
