Support the Micahlah and G Lozano family

Dear friends and family,

It is with heavy hearts that we come to you asking for prayer and support for our sweet sister, Micahlah and her family. They are going through an unimaginably difficult and devastating time.

After a long journey, Micahlah and G were excited to find out they were pregnant with identical twin girls, Zoey and Olivia, back in November but after a few months the girls and Micahlah were deemed to be high risk. They were referred to UCSF, over two hours from home, early on for more testing where Zoey was diagnosed with a heart condition that would require surgery and they found that Olivia’s umbilical cord was not in an ideal location leading her to receive only half the nutrients she needed. After being given various options they decided to wait and continue with the pregnancy and closely monitor the girls.

Because of the unknown they decided to share the news only with family and close friends. Throughout the next few months, they endured many trips and appointments with specialists both in Clovis and at UCSF. Micahlah was emergency transported to UCSF twice and stayed there on the second trip for 2 weeks.

On May 6th they welcomed their precious and beautiful daughters, Zoey Rae and Olivia Rose, to the world via emergency c section at 33 weeks.

After 6 days, our sweet Olivia Rose had a rapid decline and passed away on May 12th after all options were exhausted. We are all deeply devastated and our only comfort is knowing she is in our heavenly Father’s arms, safe and sound. Two days later, on May 14th Zoey had to have her heart procedure and is still recovering at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. She has a long road ahead of her but she is so strong and she is a fighter.

This has been an overwhelmingly difficult time for Micahlah and G while they are processing and grieving the loss of precious Olivia they continue to be strong as they care for Zoey who will continue to heal and be very closely monitored in the NICU for at least the next few months.

Micahlah and G will be taking an extensive amount of time off work as they do not want to leave Zoey’s side. Our hope is that these monetary donations will help lift a very heavy financial burden for them. No donation is too small and every dollar is deeply appreciated. All donations will help cover various medical expenses associated with Micahlah, Zoey, and Olivia, funeral expenses for Olivia, day to day costs associated with caring for a baby in the NICU, and any other bills that may come up.

We understand that not everyone will be able to donate so we also ask for prayers for them. We cannot thank you enough for your love, prayers, and support.
