A Chef and entrepreneur born and raised in Oakland, CA, Xianei has spent her life fighting for food justice and creating access to healthy, nourishing meals for underprivileged communities. Now, as a single mother-to-be, she needs our support to ensure a safe and empowering birth experience.

<div>For Black women in the U.S., the maternal mortality rate is alarmingly high, with systemic disparities making childbirth a dangerous and often isolating journey. To prioritize her health and her baby’s, Xianei has made the courageous decision to give birth in Mérida, Mexico, a place where she can access holistic care surrounded by a nurturing environment.
