Supporting Besan’s family to evacuate Gaza

Here is Besan’s story.

Hello friends, this is Besan, I live in the northern side of Gaza. After the military operation, I evacuated to the south area in Gaza strip. We have witnessed tough times no one could bear. After the 7th of October, we received a call from one of the Israeli soldiers to evacuate the residential building where we live. They informed around 50 families by phone to evacuate the house in 5 minutes. After that day, our tragedy has started as the other 2.5 million Palestinians. After that day, our life turned upside down. We have no place to go at this late time. The time was 11:30 p.m. At that time, there was a curfew in the city. No one can leave his house at this time, but we have no other choice.. We can’t even find a car to move us to a safe area. In fact, there’s no safe area in Gaza. After receiving the calls, all the families gathered with pale crying faces without even taking their important document. We tried to escape to a safe area, which was 100 meters away from the building. After 10 minutes, we heard a massive explosion which brought the twelve-story building down to the ground.

This is not the first time my house has been destroyed. It was demolished by the Israeli air drones in 2009. You can see the picture below.

After that, we tried to find shelter in a hospital since we had no other shelters. We thought that it could be a safe place. We have lived in bad conditions without water, food, and blankets to use at night. After 10 days of staying in the hospital, the Israeli warplanes bombed the hospital where we evacuated, but God save our souls for the second time. After the bombardment of the hospital, we evacuated for the third time into the South of Gaza. They alleged it is a safe area. We live in the southern area of Gaza. The situation is really unbearable. Everything is expensive. Even the necessary things for me as a woman, you can’t find. There are no hygiene pads, electricity or water. The food is scarce.

Imagine fleeing your home due to constant bombings, staying in a tent, only to discover that no place is safe in Gaza on the 180th day of the war. That's Besan’s reality. But I didn’t give up, we want to rebuild a new life, with your support and solidarity. I launched this campaign to regain hope for me and my family.
