Update:
On Sunday, April 9th, Brian went to be with the Lord. Please continue to pray for his loving wife, Lindsay, and their beautiful daughter Kylin. We are raising funds in hopes of helping cover the costs of the medical bills and funeral expenses. Please consider giving what you can. Any amount is appreciated and will make a difference.
The funeral service will be held on April 21, 2023.
Christ Fellowship: Groot Center
5343 Northlake Blvd
Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33418
Service will be from 4-5, followed by a reception from 5-7.
On Saturday, April 1st Brian suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm and was rushed into two emergency surgeries to save his life. He has responded well to the initial surgeries but still has a long battle ahead of him. He will need to be in the ICU in critical condition, at Jupiter Medical Center for a minimum of 21 days, then be re-evaluated from there. We pray for no setbacks and for God's healing Hand to continue to be on Brian.
Brian has a wonderful wife, Lindsay and a daughter, Kylin. Please help support OD by raising funds to offset the costs of his medical care. After he moves from the ICU, he will be moved to the general floor, and from there into rehab. We need your help supporting him.
We are blessed OD is defying all odds and is with us today. He remains heavily sedated. His medical team of professionals is actively trying. His doctors are unsure when his wife and family will have the answers they desperately want to know and need.
Today, it is by God's grace and mercy he is with all of us and still fighting. Prayers have been continuous (near and far) for him to wake up and ease the suffering of those who surround him in love and devotion. You are one of the lucky ones if you know "OD." He is strong in his faith, and only God knows the plan for him.
He will be in the ICU and hospital for an extended time. OD has a long recovery ahead of him. Under normal conditions, they are a two-income working family. The medical expenses out of pocket will be monumental in the coming weeks as well as the daily life bills, and Lindsay will be commuting daily to and from the hospital/home to care for and see her daughter. As she continues to navigate this challenging time, Lindsay still has a household to maintain and provide as much normalcy as possible to their daughter, who is still in elementary school.
OD is a devoted, loving husband, a wonderful son and the best dad to Kylin. He truly loves his wife, his daughter and God. It's heartbreaking to see his immediate family suffering. OD is a man of God, strong in faith and conviction, and would never turn away a stranger or someone in need. He is known for his love for all those around him. He is the type of person who will give you the shirt off his back.
Financially, times are tough right now. With the expensive cost of food, fuel, medical bills and unexpected extra expenses, our goal is to ease her financial burden in this emergency, no amount is too small.
It is hard to imagine the costs long-term. Likely $20,000 will be the start of what we need and not the end. Here are some things that money will go towards in the immediacy of things and for ongoing care:
· Added days at a skilled nursing facility
· An at-home caregiver when he transitions
· Paying some of the piling up medical bills
· Covering some bills due to loss of income
· Potential loss of income for my time off as OD adjusts to being home
· Copays on other ongoing medical expenses
I would like to thank my friends and family for all the support they have received so far. So many people have reached out, have come to visit OD, and have made it clear that they are here for us when the going is tough. We couldn't have gotten through it without such an incredible support network. Thank you all so much.
Lindsay would like to personally thank all of you who have helped and prayed.
