Surrey knife assault victim with

Hello my name is Chris, I'm reaching out for my brother in law, the victim of the April 1st knife assault on Transit. My brother is one of the most unassuming, kind, shy, gentle, and caring people you could ever meet. He adores his niece, my 4 year old daughter, and she adores him. On Saturday morning he left to go load his bus pass on his day off, when he got on the bus, the man that got on with him appeared to fall, when my brother turned to look, he saw a knife and fought for his life, forcing the assailant off the bus, potentially saving several others from harm, but not before being harmed himself. See link below for the incident in question.

My brother is a blue collar worker, with an aging father not in the best of health, and four sisters who dearly love him and were hit hard emotionally by this. They are all shy people and setting up a gofundme is beyond them so I am asking for your help.
He will be off work, his only source of income for an indeterminate amount of time, as well, this is not a work related injury, and he has no insurance to fall back on. His physiotherapy also won't be covered due to where and when he was harmed.
This falls on him during a hard time of him and his family whom he lives with currently recovering from a Christmas morning flood that is still affecting his home life as we do repairs.
He is a great guy who did not deserve this, and neither did his family. As I write this he is still recovering in the hospital. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and make a huge difference in this hard moment in his life.
He is afraid to have his picture or name out there, this incident was very jarring to him. So I am doing this for him. I respect his privacy and hope you will as well.
