Tammiekka Golden also known as Meecie or T was diagnosed on February 5th, 2024 with stage 4 breast cancer known as triple negative breast cancer. The doctors did make her aware that the illness wasn’t curable but they’ll be able to do what they can to lengthen her life expectancy. Once her health insurance started, she was able to switch doctors and set up her chemotherapy appointments. She did try to obtain life insurance but missed the deadline. On April 26th she was on her way to her chemotherapy. When she got there the doctors noticed that she was having trouble breathing and needed to be admitted to the hospital. When in the hospital she immediately went to the ICU. The cancer spread through her vital organs such as the lungs, kidney, and liver. Her carbon dioxide and oxygen levels were high. She couldn’t breathe on her on so she had to get an incubator. During that time we weren’t sure if she was going to get off of it, but by the grace of god she was stable enough to get off. After that she went home with an oxygen tank.While at home she had an infected wound and her skin tore in her breast. As well as she’s losing weight at a rapid rate and her hair. On June 21st she was admitted back to the hospital due to pain. From there her health started decreasing at a rapid rate. Her blood pressure was fluctuating at an alarming rate as well as the carbon dioxide had build back up. The doctors hooked her up to the bipap machine and provided her with blood pressure medicine to keep her level steady. Once they didn’t see a change we were told to notify the rest of our family to come to the hospital due to them not knowing how long she had left. On June 25th @1:15 am she gained her wings.
