<div>Taylor is a twenty-three-year-old graduate student at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She began her academic career at UTC in 2017, where she also joined Delta Zeta Pi Lambda. She was an active sorority member and Vice President of Membership from 2019-2020. She graduated with honors in 2021 with her bachelor of science and began the Master of Public Health program that following August. She was a full-time student and a full-time graduate assistant.

<div>Taylor was diagnosed with Primary Mediastinal Large B-cell Lymphoma this past February after months of sickness. She saw seven doctors since the beginning of December but kept being misdiagnosed. When she went to the emergency room for the third time, that’s when they found the 6.2-inch tumor in her chest. After this discovery, she spent three days in ICU having different procedures completed. She had her right lung drained, her bone marrow biopsy, and the tumor biopsied. She spent a total of five days in the hospital before being discharged for one night. The next day she had to return to the hospital to receive her first chemo treatment. Due to PMBCL’s aggressive nature, the chemotherapy regimen is also aggressive. It is given 24/7 inpatient for five days. She returns to the hospital every two weeks to be admitted for chemotherapy.

<div>She has already completed three rounds of chemotherapy with great responses. However, the bills have started flying in. Taylor had to quit her job(s) when she was diagnosed and move back home. She is still obligated to pay rent each month as well. Insurance is covering a lot, but not everything. Help us reach our goal and ease some of the stress put on Taylor, her sister Kinsley, a Chi Omega at UTC, and their parents.
