07/10/2018: On Friday, June 8th, exactly one month from the day Dad made his video that continues to touch millions across the globe, Dad’s fight with cancer ended as he headed on down the road to his final home with Jesus. Heaven is brighter now. We know Dad is dancing and singing in the presence of the Lord and has been reunited with those that had gone before him. We figure Dad and Grandpa are ranching and farming the fields of Heaven.

Please join us Thursday, June 14th at 6:00pm at the Family Praise Center in Vinita, OK for a memorial service to celebrate Dad’s life and legacy. Roll on, Ranch Hand, Roll on...

All funds from this campaign continue to help with expenses that arose from Dad’s fight as well as to help Mom. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your unselfish outpouring of support, prayers, and love for Dad, Mom, and our family. Please continue to pray for our family especially the grandkids who lost the greatest most loving “Papa”.

Dad’s Story:

My dad, Delvin Simmons Jr., the greatest "PaPa", and one of the best men I know, has been diagnosed with advanced colon cancer. He will undergo surgery tomorrow and then will begin his fight for his life. The doctors have said he is looking at 6 - 8 rounds (3 - 4 months) of chemotherapy and if the cancer responds to that he will have another surgery in Oklahoma City for more invasive chemotherapy (HIPEC - hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy). We are believing that the cancer will respond to these first rounds of chemotherapy.

My dad has been a truck driver since he graduated high school, a dream he had since he was a young boy. All truck drivers go by a handle, and dad chose "Ranch Hand" when he first began and has been known by that ever since. In 1987 when I was 7 years old he gave his heart to Christ and accepted Jesus as his savior. Since that time he has passionately and selflessly served the church, his community, and so many others showing them God's love the very best he could.

For 15 years he drove the church bus to pick up children in the community to bring them to church. He made a point to make each one feel special and loved. For many years he served as a leader in the Royal Rangers program while also teaching Sunday school and for 25 years he poured his heart into his church through serving tirelessly as a deacon at our Assembly of God church in our small town.

As a truck driver, he is self-employed, does not have health insurance and is the sole provider. During this time, he will be unable to work and won't be able to drive his truck anymore. He and mom simply are not going to be able to afford to make it during this time without his income and with the additional expenses. They are in need of immediate assistance to help them through this time so they can focus on the fight ahead.

My dad would never do something like this. So, I am doing it for him. Thank you all for your prayers and support as my dad, Ranch Hand begins this fight.

Dad’s song that has reached more than 7 million people across the world
