The Crosbie Memorial Fund

On Sunday, May 19th, Christine Crosbie passed away after a brief battle with cancer. The year before, Christine's husband Doug died tragically in a bicycling accident. They leave behind their two children Marina and Davis. It is difficult to comprehend the loss that both of these remarkable and resilient young adults have suffered. They have just started out on what otherwise should be a happy and exciting new phase of their lives: University, travel, new jobs. While they should be enjoying these new milestones with their parents they have been robbed of what so many of us take for granted. Losing two parents in such a short span of time represents an unfathomable loss and a significant psychological, emotional and financial challenge. We have set up this fund to help Davis and Marina face those challenges in the knowledge that we as a community not only grieve alongside them but that we  also stand behind them and support them in their moment of need. Whether it is providing an ear to talk to, a shoulder to cry on or the financial support to help them on this journey, I would ask all of you to reach out and make your presence felt in any way that you can.
