The (re)EDUCATION of Brother EDEN Douglas ...

Forty-seven years after beginning my education at the University of Texas, in Austin, in 1975, I have completed a Business Administration/Project Management and

Integrated Studies Associate Degree from Central New Mexico Community College and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts with a minor in African Studies, at the University of New Mexico, in Albuquerque. 

 

After getting my Bachelor's at age 64, with a 4.09 GPA, I Am Still Grinding!

 

I am in my third semester at JAKES Divinity School, partnered with North Central University of Minneapolis, MN, in their Masters of Strategic Leadership program. I am still maintaining a 4.0 GPA, in the midst of all the financial challenges.

This will be an ongoing campaign of support for my studies at JAKES Divinity School through May 2024. My expenses are living, as I'm semi-retired and my financial aid only covers books and tuition.

BACKGROUND:

I'm sure I may be a stranger to most of you reading this, but perhaps our paths have crossed as I traveled around the country as Douglas Edward Powell after college in the '70s, or you may know of me from my vlogs as #UnFilteredEDEN on Social Media where I share EXPERIENCED Encouragement and WISDOM for SOUL and MIND from my 25+ years in SOBRIETY and Spiritual Awakenings. You might have worked/collaborated with me as Brother Douglas, as a singer from those early MySpace and MP3 . com days, or we met during my initial foray into the world of TV/FILM as a stand-in for many of your favorite African American actors.

However we're connected, I pray you'll become a contributor (regular?) in helping me in this NEXT Chapter to fulfill my DESTINY of being a Righteous Businessman, Leader, and PRODUCER so that I can continue my calling to bless others more formally.

Whenever you find this campaign, just know this fund for my educational journey allows me to continue to focus and remain excellent and intentional well beyond retirement.
