The tragic passing of Irene Lynch and her unborn baby Grace

Donation protected
Hey guys

My beautiful neice Irene Lynch was in a fatal accident on the 15th March 2024. The car she was a passenger in hit a wall and overturned into a flooded turlough causing her to drown. Irene was 20 weeks pregnant at the time of the accident.
She spent a long time in the water which resulted in brain damage. First responders removed her from the car and rushed her to ICU. Irene spent 10 days in the hospital fighting for her life, and that of her little baby.
Doctors tried all they could and treated Irene so well but unfortunately her body couldn't heal from the damage caused from the time she spent in the water. The prognosis was that Irene has irreversible brain damage and its was highly likely the baby had too.

On the 10th day my sister and brother in law (Irene parents) were delivered the most agonising news any parent could receive. Their youngest daughter wouldn't make a recovery and respirators would be removed.
The rest of the story is how one would expect in this unfortunate turn of events; as we had hoped and prayed for a miracle: Irene and Grace slipped off into the ever after surrounded by her loved ones in Galway University Hospital.

Irene was a 39 years young and was a mother to three children, one of whom was born with a terminal illness and passed away after spending her first year of life in hospital. Irenes surviving children must now face this life journey without guidance from their loving mother.

My sister has a broken heart, an upturned life and an growing amount of bills pertaining to Irene's passing such as the funeral costs.

I'm here asking if anyone could donate any amount or share this on your media pages. I would like to be able take the pain and financial burden off my sister and brother in-law but I am not able alone.
If any money is raised it will be used for Irenes funeral expenses and I will update for all donators.

The community has been very supportive and the amount of it shown up and down the country has been overwhelming. Many neighbours and members of the community have offered so much consolation from the kindness of their hearts.

Anyone can message me if they have any queries, please don't hesitate.

I wish to thank you for your time and please remember my niece Irene and her angel Grace.
