All - thank you for your thoughts, prayers and generosity. We are sharing that Allen sadly died from his illness at 8:55 PM on Tuesday, November 28. Allen put up a strong fight, but the illness had impacted his body to the extent that it could not recover. He was surrounded by his family and friends at the end and will be deeply missed.

We would like to thank everyone who made Allen feel loved and worthy while he was alive. And we'd also like to thank you for the support and generosity during his illness. All funds received as part of this GoFundMe will now be used to pay for Allen's final arrangements.

Hi all –

We are starting a GoFundMe to support our brother Allen Snyder, who is fighting for his life at Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Recently, Allen developed a serious acute liver problem, and after visiting the hospital in Uniontown, was taken by Stat Medevac to Pittsburgh, where he could receive more intensive care.

Allen is currently in critical condition and has been placed in a medically induced coma to help him fight multi-organ failure, which has shut down his kidneys, liver, pancreas, lungs and brain. Despite suffering from significant internal bleeding and other issues, Allen has made progress, and we pray he will be stabilized in the coming days.

While we hope Allen will make a full recovery, he will face significant medical bills as a result of this lifesaving care. Though Allen was recently employed and was building a life for himself in southwestern Pennsylvania, he became so sick before his diagnosis that he had to miss several days of work and was unfortunately let go by his employer.

We are organizing this fundraising campaign to provide financial support for Allen’s medical and other expenses during this challenging time. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, can make a difference in Allen’s fight for survival and his long journey towards rehabilitation. We assure you that all proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to Allen to support his life after recovery, or to give him a proper goodbye should he not come back to us. This all will be managed by his sister Sabrina.
