Help Save Maxxy

Appealing for help towards the vet bills for our beloved family maltipoo Maxxy following a savage and unprovoked attack by 3 large and powerful dogs last Tuesday.

He has been so brave and was incredibly lucky to walk away from the attack but did so with multiple life altering injuries including a ruptured abdomen, fractured jaw, missing teeth and severe neck tear (after they tried to take his head off). He’s had 60+ neck staples, surgery on his abdomen, had teeth out and 7 days later he’s still with the vets in round-the-clock care and on multiple injectable pain killers, antibiotics, anti sickness and appetite stimulants.

It was touch and go for a few days whether he’d survive the attack but he’s a fighter and doing well all things considered.

The whole family are desperately missing him and we just can’t wait to get him home to spend the next months/years recovering and recuperating with as much love as we can shower him with and we’re hoping the psychological damage will be minimal and he’ll still be the same sunny happy-go-lucky Maxxy we all know and love. We’re all keeping our fingers crossed

We’re not asking for large amounts from anyone, just any pennies you feel like you can spare and only if it’s a cause you believe in. Unfortunately due to the severity of the injuries, the insurance is barely going to scratch the surface.

We will be fighting for justice for Maxxy and to make owners of dangerous dogs accountable for their actions (the attacking dogs and owners ran off following the attacks on Maxxy) for the rest of our lives if that’s what it takes.
