Typhoon Rai Fundraising for Bohol, Philippines

It’s been a week since Super Typhoon Rai (Odette) struck my home island of Bohol in the central part of the Philippines. Typhoon Rai devastated properties, agricultural land, and brought a desperate situation to the people of my island. There is no electricity, and a scarcity of drinking water, gasoline, food, medicines, and basic necessities. People are struggling right now. Their properties were torn down by the ferocity of the typhoon and flash floods.

 

My name is Efrenia Holt, a Filipino living in Richmond, North Yorkshire, UK right now. I am raising aid funds to those affected by super typhoon Rai (Odette), especially to those who are in desperate need of assistance, which includes providing food packs, drinking water, and basic needs. I am the organiser of this fundraising drive and have trusted private individuals on the ground to facilitate the distribution of relief goods. Hopefully we will be able to provide people with light materials for shelter too.

 

We cannot help everyone, but we can help many through your donations. I do not feel like celebrating Christmas with the dire situation the people back home are facing. Can we share whatever amount we can spare to those who need it most. I hope you will be joining me in supporting this cause.
