Let’s get the girls and Alan closer to beck!!

Hiya guys.

So my beautiful sister in law beckie has been through the worst 2/3 years of her life.

While pregnant with her second child she developed pain in her nose area which become worse and worse over time. Her doctors never gave her an ENT appointment only kept saying you have an infection here is antibiotic’s go on your way!

Fast forward to last year 2022 Beckie took herself to A&E and begged them to help her, she then was giving an ENT appointment straight away and was told the unbearable news that she has cancer of the nose called Squamous cell carcinoma which in the area she has it is so rare only 9% of the world has had it. Not knowing this would be the outcome she had both her children with her and her amazing husband Alan while hearing this news.

Life hasn’t been easy for them they have an amazing autistic little girl who’s just 5 years old and a little girl who is 2 years old. So life is tough as it is.

Once Beckie was diagnosed with cancer they started treatment of radiotherapy every day in Brighton hospital where she done 6 weeks of radiotherapy, she was picked up every day and dropped home every day this lead to her partner having to stop working and family having to have the kids for her so she can go to sleep and not worry about the girls.

Beckie then had a major operation on her nose as the radiotherapy wasn’t successful then to go back 4 weeks later to find out the cancer still hasn’t gone and ended up in the floor of her nose so another operation was performed just 4 weeks after the first one and this resulted in them placing a rib that was donated to to rebuild her nose. Her body has rejected the rib in her nose and has made her nose collapsed which has left her with damaged nerves in her mouth to now her top teeth are numb.

They have now said the only option they have left is to remove her nose and give her a prosthetic nose which is a 6 month wait just for an appointment (her surgeon is pushing for it to be done faster)

As you can imagine their life isn’t easy as it is and this has had a huge impact on beckies mental health and affected her so bad.

She doesn’t go out because people have been staring and laughing and looking at her strangely because she wears a mask, but she needs to get out for the children’s sake and won’t ever let them down.

I’m doing this go fund me to try raise enough money for them to go on an unforgettable holiday once her new nose is put on and she is free from it all.

They haven’t had the chance to have a honeymoon after everything that has happened.
