Unite Jeremy with his family in Kenya

Donation protected
Denmark is withholding 9 year old Jeremy from his biological family in Kenya. Jeremy has not seen his mother and father for more than one year after Denmark expelled his mother. Denmark refuse to return Jeremy to his home country Kenya.

This campaign's objective is to unite Jeremy with his family.

Anyone who’s ever met his mother Selina know her as one of the most wonderful person's they’ve ever encountered. Full of love. Full of life. Always smiling. Ever the selfless friend. She was raised by a loving family who taught her good moral character, a hard work ethic, and taught her how to be a respectful God-fearing woman. The church is a very important part of Selina´s life.

Selina has always given freely of her endless kindness; a fact made more amazing considering everything she’s been through during the last few years.

Mrs. Selina Njeri travelled to Denmark in 2014 to earn her living. She has two wonderful boys, who was in Denmark with her.

The stay in Denmark turned out to be a true nightmare, and the nightmare continues.

Selina was working hard for a little money. When she found a new and better job, she was falsely reported by her Danish ex-husband to the Danish authorities. The ex-husband was extremely violent and Selina ended up living for one year in a protective shelter for domestic abuse survivors.

Nonetheless the Danish authorities took her children and placed them in foster care. A hard case proceeding came to prove her innocence against the false allegations brought on her in order to have her children brought back in her care. However, the authorities did not listen to Selina, she was not offered translators and the police rejected her when she tried to report the domestic violence.

The allegations from her ex-husband that she was violent towards him resulted in a criminal case against Selina and she was wrongfully convicted to spend 8 months in prison. Professional experts such as psychologists and doctors explained to the court that Selina was the victim, but they were ignored. During the appeal case 4 other women came forward and told that Selina's ex-husband had accused them of the same in order to separate their children from them. The court rejected these witnesses.

Selina was expelled after having served 8 months in prison and she is not allowed to enter Denmark for the next 6 years. She was not allowed to bring her children with her. This is a violation of the Human Rights.

Selina is now fighting for her children to be brought back to her in Kenya. It is a tough fight which require support and help from lawyers. The money raised in this fundraising will mainly go to pay legal fees and travel expenses for Selina when she wins the right to enter Denmark again.

Thank you so much for reading through Selina´s story and helping in any way that you can!
