Urgent Assistance for Tahani's Family in Gaza

I’m Rachel Deroche, and as a U.S. veteran from Maine, I'm organizing this campaign for my very close friend Tahani Ahmed in Gaza. Tahani would like to share her story with you in her own words.

My name is Tahani Ahmed, and I live in Gaza with my two children, Yazan and Yamen. We've endured over seven months of relentless war, facing incredibly difficult and suffocating circumstances. Sadly, our family has been torn apart, with my husband living in another city due to our inability to find a suitable home together after being forced to leave our beloved Gaza city and refuge to the south of Gaza Strip. The war has left deep scars on our souls, and I find myself struggling to provide even the basic necessities for my children. We are in desperate need of assistance to secure a stable and dignified life for our family.

Travel costs from Gaza to Egypt :

- Crossing Egyptian borders: you have to pay (5,000-8,000$) for every Adult in the family and 2,500$ each for children

So, (2×8000$) =16,000$ , Considering current evacuation fees and coordination expenses at the Egyptian border

- Passport fees: 800$ totally (100$/person for 8 family members)

- GoFundMe Fee: 2,000$ (Approximately 2.9%+0.30$ for each donation, covering the platform’s fee).

- And some extra living costs for couple of months (Including apartment rent, clothes , food , etc) : 10,000$.

The total is approximately : 30,000$

Honestly, we do not ask for help in this way, but the silent world forced us to do so in order to keep our souls alive, asking good people to help save our oppressed souls.
