Urgent Assistance Needed for a Family of 3 in Florida

Hello there.

Our family owned two very successful businesses, and bought our first beautiful home right before the pandemic. This is the house we saved up for and to grow old in. Our daughter is 9, and goes to the closest school. All of her friends are in this neighborhood and she is a very happy girl.

During the pandemic, our major business of 17 years (and main form of income) was forced to close. Our other small business is barely surviving, due to inflation and the economy.

My husband has a PhD, and has been applying to jobs for months with no results.

We've been in litigation with our home insurance company for two years due to extreme damage to our entire house as a result of a hurricane, poor construction, and 2 years of waiting for a settlement.

Our last option is to sell our home, but the roof and other major repairs will not be complete until September. We have exhausted all of our options, including re-financing, and a home equity loan for which we were denied.

Out of sheer embarrassment, I cannot bring myself to upload a picture of my family and rather a snippet of the damage to our home.

Being in such massive debt (due to the pandemic) and sadly desperate, this is my last ditch effort to fund raise, so as to not be in a further dire outcome.

This amount is what we need to get through September, until we can sell the house. I ask for your compassion and generosity during this very difficult time. Thank you.
