URGENT: Help Rescue these angels from Gaza War

Hello All! My name is Sundus Tanveer and I’m fundraising to help evacuate my friend and his daughters from war-torn Gaza. They were forced to flee their home to escape the onslaught of bombing which ultimately destroyed their home. They are currently sheltering in tents in Rafah. The situation in these shelters are catastrophic with no access to food or clean water. The cold weather and spread of disease has worsened the situation. Above all, Rafah is continuously being targeted by shelling and bombs which has made survival impossible for these innocent angels.

Hello everyone! I am Hamed Al-Mansi from Gaza, the Qalibo area, an agricultural area full of olive and citrus trees. I have a bachelor’s degree in physical education and worked as a school teacher before the war. I also worked as a farmer in our families farmland. I’m married to Haneen. She worked as an operations technician at the Kamal Adwan Hospital.

We have three beautiful little daughters: Reem, Mayar, and the youngest Yara (Lulu).

Reem loves to swim and wants to become a dentist when she grows up. The first thing she wants to eat after the war is Maqluba! Mayar loves to draw and paint. She says she wants to be a teacher like her dad and little Lulu wants to become a pilot and fly airplanes. We lost our fourth child shortly after birth. The hospital he was born at lacked vital life- saving equipment and we were not allowed to travel to any other hospital outside of Gaza strip due to the ongoing siege. His name was Issam!

Our house was completely destroyed by bombs during the current war and forced us to be displaced to Rafah, South of Gaza strip. The occupation army bulldozed the trees on our farmland. Al-Mutamayzoon School where I taught, was also bombed and demolished. And Kamal Adwan hospital suffered great destruction as well, robbing my wife of her workplace. This is not the first time our family has suffered intense loss and trauma. In 2018, the occupation army bombed our house as well. Two of my brothers (Ahmed and Youssef) were martyred (killed). I was hit by shrapnel in the stomach, and which is still inside me

We are currently sheltering in tents which barely provide refuge from rain and freezing cold weather. There is an extreme shortage of food and water. There are days my family and I survive on one meagre meal a day. That too if I am lucky to find bread. There is widespread disease due to the cold, lack of sanitation and clean drinking water.

My family and I need to evacuate from the war zone to save our lives. My daughters have lost everything at such a young age and now their biggest wish is to live in peace and security. All they want is to sleep on a warm mattress without fear of the sounds of bombing, because sleeping in tents exhausts their tiny bodies. They want to be able to resume their schooling, eat their favorite foods and play in parks - simply be children like the rest of the world’s children.

And my wife and I just want to escape the war to protect our family from death and hunger. We want to cross the Rafah border into Egypt where we can stay with our relatives.

As you may already know, there are hefty fees required to cross the Rafah border. Currently, I have to pay $6,500 per adult and $3,500 per child. Since we lost all of our possessions and will be evacuating with just the clothes on our backs, we’d also need funds for immediate basic needs like rent, food, transportation etc. Your donations will be used to cover these fees and help us resettle in Egypt
