Salma Akhtar, a 42-year-old Bangladeshi female has been diagnosed with high intraocular pressure with optic nerve head atrophy in both eyes very recently. Her POAG (Primary Open Angle Glaucoma) is currently in last stage besides acute Myopia which is leading towards the worst situation for anyone i.e. Permanent loss of vision for both eyes.

Her irritations started few months back and due to childhood Thyroid issues, POAG started to form. She is completely blind in right eye now and left eye vision is on verge of collapsing very soon due to immense pressure as the narrowed down optical vein need fluid externally as well Major Operation is required immediately.

She had consultation in National University Hospital in Singapore besides one of the top ophthalmological facilities in her home country i.e. Bangladesh Eye Hospital & Institute. The diagnoses show her visions are diminishing at a very fast rate and there is not much time left to save her eyes if prompt treatment is not availed asap.

The available advance level treatment for the aforementioned symptoms is not available in Salma’s country. Her husband is already a Lupus Patient and her deceased father had Perkinson's Disease. As a result, her financing for treatment is already in severe jeopardy as she now has very few able people who can help her source the cost of operation. She has lost all hopes as the funding required for the medical procedures is way above the affordability of her family.
