Hey everybody. My name is Andy Rowell. I’m a comedian living in Chicago, Illinois. You might know me from the Annoyance Theatre & Bar, Second City, or as the “Tequila Guy” from America’s Got Talent Season 14.
On the evening of Thursday, November 17 a vague pain appeared in the middle of my abdomen while I closed my shift at Chicago Costume Company. At first, I thought this pain was due to a bad batch of beef I had for lunch. Hours later, the pain localized to the lower right side of my belly button (this is know as “McBurney’s Point” for all you doctor types).
After laying in bed for hours I had no choice but to drive my writhing body to the emergency room, where I am currently being treated — does life get any stupider? I have learned that although this procedure is fairly common for men ages 20-30, it is also wholly expensive.
Like many comedians, artists, and performers my age I am grossly underinsured. Any amount that you or your network are willing to donate will, quite literally, save my life!
Thank you in advance.
