Voice box cancer stage 3.

Hi, my name is Gina. I have recently been diagnosed with stage 3 voice box cancer. For those of you that know me, you know how hard it is for me to ask for help. For the last 30 years I have always been that person always helping others through benefits, fundraisers and charities.

Recently I have been diagnosed with Larynx Carcinoma stage 3. And now I am the one in need.

I have been sick for well over a year. Since May I have missed a lot of work due to doctor's appointments, looking for specialists and getting second and third opinions. Through this I found that I was misdiagnosed in the beginning. It has been exhausting but worth it knowing i have now been diagnosed correctly and feel I have found the right doctors for my treatment.

Unfortunately my insurance will not cover all of my treatments, medications and supplements that I will need to fight this. My dietician has put me in a strict diet and supplements and still have my rent, utilities and other living expenses in top of what is to come.

Radiation treatment starts on October 3rd. 5 days a week for 7 weeks.

I am a bartender and plan to work as long as I am able to. I have already had to take much time off recently due to all of the appointments and searching I had to do to find the right doctors. So I have been trying to play catch up since I have been back to work. With the rise in inflation it has been very difficult to do.

I am hoping to be able to continue working for the unforseen future. Unfortunately we never know what the future may bring and there may come a day when I won't be able to work. Not to mention the bills that will be piling up from the treatments my insurance will not cover.

I want you all to know that asking for help is very hard for me to do. And I do appreciate every single one of you and whatever you can do to help.
