Suzanne's Medical Fund
At the beginning of this week, our mom was found unresponsive and rushed to the hospital by airlift. After many hours, as well as many diagnostic tests, the doctors were able to finally stabilize her and discovered that kidney stones were causing her body to shut down. Because of her fragile condition, the bilateral kidney stones (several large kidney stones) still remain, cutting off the functions of the kidneys, resulting in complete renal failure. On top of the kidney failure, she also has sepsis, a serious infection caused by the blocking of the kidneys, which has began to shut down her vital organs. This has led to the involvement of several specialist doctors to assess how to save the rest of her body. She then spent 3 days in the ICU where she was highly monitored as she was having vagal responses, where her heart would temporarily stop every few hours; the damage done to her heart from this is still undetermined. Just recently she was moved out of the ICU, but is still monitored very closely as she has also been diagnosed with pancreatitis, along with an abscess on her right kidney, which has obviously placed a lot of physical stress on her heart. We are unsure of when she will be discharged, but even after she is home, there will be a long road of recovery that will include occupational and physical therapy, extensive continued treatment for the infection and kidney failure, and then another outpatient procedure to extract the stones. She has been such a trooper and shocked the doctors by pulling through, as she was not expected to make it. Any donations would be much appreciated, as there have been an endless amount of tests, scans, procedures, and much more that have contributed to saving her. The money donated will go directly to an account strictly for her bills through the secure banking process of GoFundMe. Thank you for all of your continued support!
