We need a new propane tank and propane!

Hi, my name is Jodie. I need a new propane tank- and propane! I use propane to heat my house, where my elderly, handicapped parents live with me, and I rent the basement to a friend with a small child! It may be almost spring, but we still need heat!! I also use it to cook.

Somewhere in the line between the tank and my house, is a leak. The run is about 100', and goes under pavement, so digging it up would be incredibly expensive. The Propane company is going to place a temporary tank today (soon, I hope, I'm freezing!) and then later, give me a smaller, permanent tank closer to the house, as soon as I can pay for it. I'll need to buy propane for each of the tanks, as it cant be transferred from tank to tank. (I will get a refund, when they take back my old tank... but that's months off, I suspect. And I just got it filled, so I already owe them!)

I've had a terrible 2024, on top of a pretty crappy 2023... In 2023, I had a $10,000 plumbing catastrophe, as well as needing to treat for termites! On top of that, my Dad (turning 85 next week!), who had contributed to the family by buying the groceries and paying part of the utilities, fell last year, fracturing his spine, then fell again, fracturing his leg... then fell again, requiring more hospitalization! He finally had emergency spinal surgery to relieve pressure on his spinal cord, but he's still in a wheelchair, and requires a LOT of care. Recently, he fell again, and ruptured his eyeball! He spent a week in Johns Hopkins, then went to rehab. then right back to the hospital with a bowel blockage.

Anyway... He cant provide food or the utilities any more. And I've spent a lot of time dealing with the various Drs and places he's been or needs to get to!

I havent recovered financially from taking care of him last year (I'm self employed, a field repair tech- if I dont work, I dont earn!), and this latest catastrophe is just too much.

Please help so I can buy the tank and the propane, and be warm, and safe, and cook healthy meals instead of microwave stuff!
