Memorial for Mott (David Appleby)
Donation protected
On August 24th David and his brother were helping friends clear trees from their lot after losing several during a recent tornado. Unfortunately, a large limb came loose and fell on David. Thankfully, the Milltown, WI EMT responded quickly and he was airlifted to Regions hospital in St. Paul.
Once at Regions doctors assessed his injuries and found severe internal bleeding. He was in surgery for 7 hours before they were able to somewhat stabilize him. He had ruptured arteries behind his liver, which is apparently a troublesome area for ruptured arteries.
With the internal bleeding being the focus of the medical teams efforts, other injuries have taken a back seat, but they suspect a broken pelvis. Once a CT scan is performed we'll know more.
Needless to say medical bills will be extensive, adding to an already extremely stressful situation. If you are able to donate any amount his family would be grateful.
David is a husband, father, brother, son, and friend. Those who know him know he is loyal, funny, and would do anything for anyone. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
