Welcome Yirga - fundraising for Welcome Corps

The purpose of this GoFundMe fundraiser is to generate funds to sponsor my brother Yirgalem Mela so he can reunite with me here in the US through Welcome Corps.

The Welcome Corps program empowers everyday Americans to sponsor refugees, building on our country’s long tradition of providing a safe haven for those in need. Through the Welcome Corps, Americans can form a private sponsor group and apply to welcome refugees into local communities.

I'm grateful that the Welcome Corps makes it possible for communities to welcome refugees across the United States, empowering each community to make a difference in the lives of refugees.
