Wendell’s Homegoing Fund

Family and friends, with heavy hearts and great sadness, I must share that we lost Wendell J Williams (Tumblin), a son, big brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. As I relay this message, like many of you, I am in a state of disbelief, grief, and heartbreak. Wendell had such a big, unique laugh, a good sense of humor, and always something funny or crazy to say. Many of us have a load of funny & heartfelt memories of Wendell that we could tell. Collectively, we could go on for a lifetime.
For me, one of my fondest memories was when he joined me on my senior trip’s cruise, the only way I was allowed to go. Admittedly, I harassed my brother about taking the trip almost daily until he agreed. Well, between all the dancing, jeep excursions, and it turning out that he knew two other fellow cruisers, an adventurously funny time was had on the trip that I had to twist his arm to take. It became an etched-in memory he revisited often, and we always had the biggest laughs about it each time.
We are asking family and friends to donate to help with Wendell's funeral and expenses, to get him back home and laid to rest. My brother, loved beyond measure, we miss you already, Wendell!
