HELP WEST VALLEY ANIMAL SHELTER DOGS

Hi, my name is Hannah. I am a volunteer at West Valley Animal Services in West Valley City, Utah. I have the opportunity to be there at-least once a week (if not more) taking photos of the longest stay animals, doing shelter spotlights for the city, volunteering at adoption events, walking dogs and helping them find rescue and adopters.

In my year of experience in animal rescue, i have found that these homeless shelter dogs find a glimpse of hope and happiness when they are supplied with enrichment toys, outings, treats and chews, bringing in the treadmill, new beds, blankets and other things that the shelter budget often can't afford and rely solely on donations for. That's what I want to do with this fundraiser for the month of November...Raise money to purchase these things to spread hope for the homeless dogs while they await their forever placement. With the colder weather and the holidays getting closer, more and more dogs are being abandoned and dumped every single day due to finances. These animals end up at the shelter. With high numbers, kennel stress is REAL and with 90+ dogs and ZERO available kennels (and kennels often doubled up and split in half) , the anxiety and tension in the dog rooms are at an all-time high. It is heartbreaking.

Absolutely anything we can raise to relieve some of the stress and tension on these dogs is REMARKABLE and we are so thankful for your thought and taking the time to read this.
