State Year for Wildcats ...AGAIN!!!!
If you read the local Kennedale News, recently you saw our best coverage yet, “The Kennedale Wildcat Marching Band entered its second band contest in as many weeks and came away with another Best in Class win and another 2nd Place finish overall."
This is a “State Year” for the Wildcats, which means this is a year 4A bands get to contend for a state title. Kennedale has made the state level competition the last 5 times it has competed and finished 5th in the state in 2014. We are now headed to State for #6!!!!!
Our show is better than ever and we feel that we will continue our momentum and will be a State Championship contender once again.
As in years past we will be raising funds to help offset the cost of traveling to San Antonio for the finals. The KBBC tradition is to raise funds amongst the parents, grandparents, family, friends, alumni and other Wildcat Band supporters around the world to pay for our students to travel in actual charter busses rather than the yellow school busses. We also try and help with some of the other expenses and things that make the trip a success and memorable for the band.
We have set a minimum goal of $15,000 which is the base amount we need to cover the commitment we have to our children to get there. Every single additional dollar we can raise above the $15,000 can go to improving our band program. It has been over a decade since we had a fund raiser to replace the aging drumline, and the band program itself is in need of quite a few things to maintain the State-Level success for both the marching band and concert bands throughout our small, five school district. We are one band family from beginner band to the marching seniors and every dollar the KBBC raises helps our family.
Honestly, if I thought we could get there I would ask for $75,000 this year. I believe in the community that supports our band and I know we will exceed our minimum $15,000. Remember even small donations of $25 - $50 will add up to big support. We ask only that you give what you can to help these 140 students that have dedicated countless hours and sweat to continue a tradition of success. By the way, if you are part of a company that will match your gift, feel free to contact us directly to coordinate that opportunity. If your company would like to sponsor the Wildcat Band at a more meaningful level, we would love to talk to you.
All donations to the band are tax deductible and we can provide you the appropriate documentation for your support.
Thank each of you for your support of our amazing Wildcat Band program. Without the parents and families supporting our students these successes would be nearly impossible.
If you have any questions or other thoughts on helping the band feel free to email us or reach out to me directly via the contact info on this campaign.
