Help The Hungry
A campaign by The Independent and London Evening Standard, in partnership with the food charity With Compassion to prepare and serve as many hot meals to Londoners in need as possible.
With 8 million people in Britain facing food insecurity, 4.2 million people expect to use the services of a charity in the next 12 months for the first time due to the pandemic. Food for London Now and Help the Hungry alongside With Compassion are committed to supporting vulnerable Londoners unable to feed themselves and their families. As the homelessness figures continue to increase and the long term effects of COVID-19 become more clear, we are determined to help as many people as possible from falling into hunger and food poverty.
