On Monday, June 15th Luis Montes, at age 33, suffered a massive heart attack while on his way home from work. While driving Luis knew he didn’t feel right and pulled over before he collapsed. This selfless act saved his co-worker and other commuters from possible injury.
Luis was a husband, a father, a friend, and a good natured, hardworking man; what he wasn’t was a rich man. Like many of us he often lived paycheck to paycheck. He was the sole provider for his family--wife Angelica and their four young children: Carla 15, Sharon 12, Luis 12, and Emme 3. He worked hard to make a difference for them.
The Montes family needs our help not only with the funeral cost, but to provide them with assistance during this difficult time. It’s our hope that “Strength in Numbers” doesn’t just apply to a game, but for people to come together to help do the right thing. I’m calling on family members, friends, acquaintances, and strangers for your help. No amount of money is too little when you don’t have any.
