Terri Costa's medical expenses

Hi, this is Dylan Costa and Julie Gelsomino (Terri's close friend). We're reaching out in the hope of gathering some support for Terri Costa.

On June 19th, Terri went to the emergency room with severe back pain. She had been struggling with pain and a cough that she thought were the lingering effects of a bout of pneumonia she had in April.

Unfortunately, at the ER the scans showed that her back was fractured in multiple places due to malignancy. She has since been diagnosed with stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer that has spread to her liver and bones.

Although this is a devastating diagnosis, we know Terri is a fighter. She has many more adventures to be had and so much more life to live. She is being treated aggressively with radiation, chemotherapy and immunotherapy in the hopes of returning home and having quality time with her family and friends.

This diagnosis came as a complete shock. Terri has been in the hospital since June 19th. Her employer has been extremely generous in supporting her, but her income from work will end in August. She has no long term disability. She is facing huge medical bills and the loss of income will leave her struggling to make ends meet.

Many people have asked how they can help Terri and her family, and although she hates asking for financial assistance, this is the best way we can support her right now.

These funds will be used for her medical and living expenses, any adaptive equipment she may need to come home and end of life care if needed.
