Year 6 students residential visit to Gilwell Park

We firmly believe that every child deserves to make the most of their opportunities, we are inviting the Sebright School community to join us in crowdfunding for the Year 6 children, they’ll hugely appreciate it.

As part of their final year at our school, Year 6 students will embark on an unforgettable residential school visit to Gilwell Park. This trip will offer a multitude of benefits that extend far beyond the traditional classroom setting. Through engaging in a wide range of activities, our students will develop important life skills and create lifelong memories. We believe that these experiences have a profound positive effect on children's self-esteem and confidence levels, shaping them into well-rounded individuals.

We know it is increasingly difficult for parents to find the money for school trips and activities, so your contributions, regardless of the amount, will help to bring down the overall cost, enabling every Year 6 child to have the opportunity to partake in this transformational residential trip. Together, we can ensure that no child is left behind and that all students can benefit from the positive impact of these enrichment experiences.

During their time at Gilwell Park, students will have the opportunity to build fires, sing around campfires, construct rafts, scale walls, and practice archery, among many other exciting adventures. These activities encourage our students to step outside their comfort zones, take risks, and develop resilience. By overcoming challenges and embracing new experiences, they will cultivate a sense of independence and learn to navigate unfamiliar environments.

Engaging in such activities in a residential setting also fosters stronger relationships among students, the shared experiences and bonding moments will create a supportive and cohesive school community, improving school relationships and enriching the overall educational environment.
