Please help and support Megs treatment and recovery

As you all know little Meg who was spooked by a firework whilst being fastened into her harness, in the apparent safety of her own car, was found safe, with what appeared to be just a little limp that we all thought once she was vet checked would be sent home with painkillers … how wrong we were, this baby has been hit in the road, the driver did not stop, and has been fighting for her life with near fatal injuries for the past three days -
On arrival at the vets Meg had begun to deteriorate and was immediately given pain relief and sedated for X-rays, and you can imagine our shock and horror when the X-rays showed she has a fractured pelvis. Five breaks to her hip, split pubis and substantial damage to her abdomen with possible injuries to her bladder.
Her journey hasn’t been easy, she had to be taken from her vets in Sheffield in the early hours of Thursday morning to the ICU at Abbey house pet hospital and from there to see a specialist at Chantry vets where the West yorkshire pet ambulance were on standby to take her.
We were her only lifeline, we couldn’t stand by and see Meg die, her daughter needs her and after all her mum has been through this past few years, lshe could not face another loss, especially of Meg who she adores.
As you all know we at K9-SAR don’t just go back to “business as usual”, once a dog has been found, and through following up and keeping in touch we can support the families and their little fur baby. Every now and then we come across a case like Meg’s. Meg needs our continued help and support and we will do everything within our power to help her. Meg is slowly recovering now but funds are still needed to cover substantial vet bills and ongoing care
please donate for Meg … every penny counts
