Zach and Monica’s fight against ALS
Friends, Zach and Monica need our help. During this quarantine our dear friend, Zach Hudson, was diagnosed with Bulbar ALS- which is progressing much faster than we ever imagined. He’s only 48 years old. He’s a professional, award winning, stunt man from some of your favorite movies and shows. But more importantly, he is a husband and a father. A father to two baby girls- just 3 & 1yrs old. A father to four older sons.
As unimaginable as it is to hear this news; it’s even more unimaginable to live this for all of them. Monica has two babies and lives in Los Angeles with no family close by. Since Covid has shut down the city, they have all been stuck in their condo as they watch their beloved, fun, normally high energy, extremely physically fit father, deteriorate in front of their very eyes. There are no words to truly describe what they are facing.
We are reaching out because Monica needs help. Neither of them are able to work right now. . Zach’s condition is progressing quickly and he is needing nearly full time care; which is hard for Monica as she is also caring for the two girls all day.
Zach is hopeful he will be able to get on the list for a stem cell trial. Unfortunately Covid has halted all of those trials. We are hoping for the best and trying everything we can to assist them right now. Monica desperately needs a nanny or caretaker to assist her with either the girls or Zach. And of course all of the medical treatment, equipment, and bills that are piling up as we speak. Any amount you can give towards their assistance is GREATLY appreciated. Monica and Zach will not ask for help; they are the type to help others and to tough it out. So we, their close friends, are asking for them. They are a young, beautiful, family and deserve all of the love and support they can get as they fight this terrible disease.

You will see that it is impossible to think that this disease would hit someone who was SO incredibly healthy and fit. Zach is one of the most talented Stuntmen in Hollywood who has conducted some of the most intense stunts.Zach and Monica actually met doing stunts
together, on the set of the sitcom “New Girl”. Zach has a heart of gold. He’s hilarious. He’s SO fun. He’s a burst of life that anyone would be so lucky to have in their lives.
The absolute most heartbreaking part of this, is who Zach is as a father. He is at every soccer game, piano lesson, dance class, football game,school and sporting event, etc. His children adore him. He is their everything. He is Monica’s everything....
